With so much going on lately, not only food related but also with my daily job, I just had to have a lazy weekend and get some much needed rest.
Woke up super late and decided to have brunch in bed, while surfing for new food ideas. ( Breakfast was long gone, and too early for lunch ). A fresh out of the oven bagel with savory ingredients and a cup of coffee; I mean, what more can one ask for ?
The bagel was bought from the supermarket and needed 3 minutes in the oven, just enough for me to prepare my other ingredients: pharma, salad, tomato, Chioggia beet and brie cheese. The coffee was last made, as I use coffee capsules so it literally takes 2 presses of button to make . If you go for tea, do take into consideration that it needs to ”sit” so you might want to start in time to ensure everything is getting ready at the same pace.
Whilst the oven got warm to host my bagel 😝, I made my bed cozy , let some of the beautiful cold autumn air inside, made sure I have my pen, paper and computer at hand and put on some music.
Returned to the kitchen, put my delicious bagel 🥯 together and made the coffee, arranged everything on a tray and brought it to be enjoyed.
Of course I had to take a picture before I could fully enjoy it, but once done, my lazy, full of rest Sunday could start. Now some inspiration for tonight’s dinner will make my weekend whole.
Hope you have a beautiful Sunday dear friends 💕
⏳ : 10 minutes for preparing everything , extra 10 minutes if you use oven
Serves : 🍽
- 1 bagel, fresh from the oven
- 1 tomato
- 1 small Chioggia beet
- Pharma or any other charcuterie, 2 slices
- 50g Brie cheese
Coffee or tea .
- Even if your bagel is already backed, I recommend you to use a pre-heated oven and let it warm up for about 3 minutes.
- Cut the veggies in slices and layer nicely on the bagel
- Prepare the tea / coffee and decorate your tray. Food tastes always better when nicely presented
Ready to enjoy your lazy day😍
