Oat cookies with banana and chocolate

Who doesn’t love cookies?! I know I do. But I also care about my sugar intake and healthy eating habits. Personally, I feel it is all about having a balanced diet and hence, there is no reason for not indulging in sweets. At least from time to time 😅

Black chocolate, bananas, oat flakes and 1 egg, these are the main ingredients you need to make this deliciousness home. Super nutritious, tasty and perfect for a snack or breakfast – fueling you with energy for a couple of hours. I mean, can it get any easier?!

So, let’s make this beauties 😍

Start with using 2 bananas, smashed. Always choose the very ripe ones, as they will have natural sweetness and hence no need to add extra processed sugar – perfect right?!

Add 1 egg to the bananas, followed by melted black chocolate **, vanilla essence ( or in my case vanilla sugar since I was out of vanilla essence), oat flakes, backing powder, pinch of salt and pinch of cinnamon . Mix all until well combined, than divide into 10-12 cookies and bake for 10-12 minutes at 180 degrees

** for the melted chocolate I used a couple of tablespoons of milk and microwaved for 30 seconds, then mixed until it incorporated well, as shown in the picture below

💡 should you prefer them a bit sweeter, use about 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup

And voila, now that the cookies are done, you can enjoy them right away or store in the fridge for up to 4 days of healthy snacking 🤤

Have a perfect week 💕
