Healthy, super easy to make and insanely affordable granola

I am sure that by now, most of you are already aware that I am a biiiig fan of homemade delicious granolas 😅

Wether I make the classic one with honey and coconut oil, dried or fresh fruits or chocolate, I simply can’t get enough of it.

So today, I am sharing with you a super crunchy basic granola, made with only 4 ingredients. Yes, that’s right- 4 ingredients for a delicious breakfast and / or snack, ready in just 20 – 25 minutes. Can it get any healthier?!

Here are some tips on how I choose my needed goodies, ensuring I get the most out of this recipe without compromising on the taste and quality.

Start with choosing the right oat flakes; always go for the traditional, old fashioned oat and try to avoid processed or quick type. This way you will avoid any added sugar a processed oat might have and hence the healthy factor will increase by default. Cool and simple right?!

Further on, be mindful of the quality of you honey 🍯. Do not assume that store bought honey is pure, so do go the extra mile and make sure you check the ingredients listed on the label. I talk from experience when I say that , doing so, you will be more aware that the product you buy and ensure it is the right one for you.

The third ingredient, coconut oil, is nowadays a wildly use product in our food industry, found in almost all the grocery stores. I would recommend to buy it from the bio corner as the quality is higher. Financially speaking, it will cost a bit more, but it is worth it. After all, your health is priceless.

And last but not least, mixed raw nuts. Make sure they are unprocessed and don’t have salt or any other flavors. They can be found in any grocery stores, are be a great source of natural healthy oils and will taste phenomenal once roasted with the rest of the ingredients.

How do we make this recipe?

Melt the honey and coconut oil for about 1 minute, than add the hot mixture to the oat flakes and nuts. Mix well until everything is combined and pour in a baking tray which you first layer with baking paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until the oat flakes become golden. As they get very easily burned, stir the mixture every 5 minutes while they bake, so that it golden evenly.

And voila, this is all you have to do to enjoy this deliciousness 🤤

Have a beautiful Friday friends 💕
