Finally, the beautiful spring is settling in Belgium and with it new , full of flavor fruits are becoming available 😍.
I have been waiting for months now to taste again some delicious strawberries and last weekend I finally got my hands on some super tasty ones. I have to admit though, most of them were eaten before they even got the chance to ‘meet my kitchen’ 😅, but I did get to put some aside and enjoy a fresh, ulta healthy smoothie.
Weather you serve your smoothie with toppings for breakfast or enjoy on the go, these delicious drinks are a natural source of vitamins, making them one of the easiest recipes for power foods – simply a must for every foodie and / or healthy eater.
All you need are fruits, preferably fresh, but frozen ones will do just fine, water for giving it the runny texture and an element of surprise: avocado, spinach or fresh mint in my case. Ah, and of course a blender to mix everything together – super easy right?
So, let’s make it together!
Step 1 : choose your fruits and special twist
I went for full fresh ingredients: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and avocado – thats right AVOCADO . The nutty taste combined with the flavory berries make a power combo to die for 🤤
Step 2: liquids.
If you are a big fan if milk, you can easily use it as, after all, it is a good source of protein, however I do prefer the classic water as, in my opinion, it just enhances the flavor of the fruits.
Step 3 : blend your ingredients
Remove all the pits and peels of the fruit and toss them in a blender, then mix well for about 5 minutes, until everything smooths in a perfect drink
Aand finally – Step 4 – pour the mixture in a glas / bottle, or decorate it with your favorite toppings for a super colorful breakfast
I always go for coconut flakes, homemade granola and fruits but feel free to run your imagination wild and create your own, super smoothie bowl.

⌛️ 5- 7 min ( decorating not included)
- 400 g of berries : raspberries, blueberries and strawberries . Preferably fresh but frozen ones will do just fine
- 150 ml of water
- 1 large avocado
- Remove the peel of the avocado, toss it in a blender together with berries and water than mix for about 3-5 min until smooth. It will get noisy as you are using a blender so you might want to take that into consideration when choosing the timing to prepare it.
- Pour in a glas container that is closable and store up to 1 day or use a bowl and decorate with your favorite goodies, as shown in the picture above
- Enjoy on the go or whilst taking your breakfast
